MATCH REPORT V MOLD 27 JANUARY 2007 Colwyn Bay were unable to repeat their home league win against league leaders Mold as they conceded two tries in each half. Mold took the league with a Gavin Roberts penalty but then Bay hit back with a well taken try by Mark Earl to take the lead 5-3 followed by a Matt Anwyl penalty to make the score 8-3 to Bay. Mold, however, moved up a gear and by half time had taken a 20-8 lead with tries by wing Ritchie Jones and number 8 Chris Lewis both converted by outside half Gavin Roberts who also added a further penalty. Mold added further tries in the second half from scrum half Jamie Griffiths and Gavin Roberts who kicked a third conversion to take the final score to 32-8 in Mold's favour a score line which flattered the home side who whilst being the best side on the day were made to fight every minute of the game by a determined Bay XV.
