25th August '07 Caldy (A) - Friendly The score against Caldy was 15-56 (8 tries against 2 and a penalty) which doesn't really reflect how the lads played. We were playing against a side who are now in English National Division 3 North and so are playing rugby at least four levels higher than Colwyn Bay although it is difficult to compare the RFU and WRU league structures. The game was played in four 20 minutes periods and for the first two of those the Caldy side was mainly their 1st XV and they scored 4 of their tries in the 2nd period so it can be said that the other 3 periods were reasonably even which given the strength of the opposition is a credit to the Colwyn Bay squad. Another plus point for the Club is that as well as having a squad of 22 players at Caldy there was also a second squad who played at Benllech.
