BAY 2NDS BACK TO WINNING WAYS COLWYN BAY 2NDS 27 RHOSLLANERCHGOG 5 Bay 2nds resumed their North East Counties Championship – formerly Premiership- campaign with a comfortable 5 tries (1 converted) to 1 win at Brookfield Drive last Saturday. In atrocious conditions the Bay made light of the weather and were soon off the mark when Steve Davidson on the wing went over wide out. Fly-half Dan Eames Hughes converted. This was the first of a hat-trick of tries for man of the match Davidson whose strength in possession proved too much for a weak Rhos defence. Further tries came from inside centre Dougie Graham and the Bay rounded off a very satisfactory day with a penalty try when outside centre Adam Vallor was pulled back just before he could touch down behind the Rhos line. The Bays stamina and power up front and their fluency in the backs bodes well for the rest of their league campaign with a 100% record going into a tough potential league decider next Saturday away against main rivals Caer Borderers.
