CBRFC Golf Day 2011

Thank you for your support for the annual golf day. As usual it was a successful event with good weather for most of the day. We thank Rhos on Sea Golf Club for having the course in first class condition for the event. We also thank their catering staff for the usual bacon butties, tea and coffee for breakfast the the excellent carvery for lunch.

 The prize winners were as follows:

 1st       Gareth Edwards          40 points

2nd      Tracy Williams            37 points

3rd       Mike Roberts              33 points

 There were other prizes for longest drives and nearest the pin.

 After the tournament most competitors returned to CBRFC and enjoyed the evening consuming one or two beers. Later in on in the evening, those still capable retired to an Indian restaurant in Llandudno. 

 Next year's competition will be held at Rhos on Sea Golf Club on 8 September 2012. We will speak directly with the WRU to arrange a home 1st XV fixture for this date. 

 I would ask competitors to remember that this event was started so that we could have a get together and a bit of fun. All comers are welcome regardless of their golfing ability. That is why we have always operated on a full handicap basis rather than the normal 3/4 rule handicap rule for SERIOUS competitions. Let us keep our annual get - together as a FUN event
