Colwyn Bay 17 Newtown 7
Colwyn Bay was
playing at home and were led out by their captain Harri Jones, from
the sound of the whistle the Bay got stuck straight in with some
solid tackling coming from both sides, Bay stamped their authority
by scoring their first try. Newtown came straight back at the Bay,
but the Bay managed to shut down Newtown and with good rucking and
mauling gained possession of the ball which gave Bay good
opportunity to attack Newtown.
The try scorers were Josef
McAlinden, Morgan Lumby and Rhodri Davies. For good rucking and
mauling was Ben Duncalf, Morgan Lumby, Matthew Wood and Adam Jakeman,
Good tackling goes to Harri Jones, Rhodri Davies and Brayden
Harding. Hannah got her boots dirty for the first time for the Bay
and did a very good job. WELL DONE TEAM
