Under 7/8's Notice Board 2008/9

Dear all,

As the final third of the season draws closer I thought I’d just give you an update as to how the rest of this year will pan out.  There are also a couple of points later on in the letter where we’d like some feedback please!

We’ve had a lot of fun so far and have a fabulous bunch of children representing the Club at the U7s and U8s age groups.  Thanks to all you parents too for your enthusiasm and support!

·   There will be an end of season trip towards the end of May for all minis which is usually a lot of fun.  I will send out details of that event shortly.

KITCHEN DUTY – 29th March

I need three parents to man the kitchens for our ‘home’ fixture against Oswestry.  The matches will be played on the pitches at Rydal School and food will be served in the Pavilion after the matches.

If I don’t get any volunteers then I will allocate parents when I know who is available for that match.  I really don’t want to have to do that and would be grateful if you could let me know by next Sunday if you are willing to help out.  I’m sure you’ve all used the kitchens at the Club which will have been manned by volunteer parents.

U9 TRAINING TIMES NEXT SEASON

Next season there will be training for our U9s on Tuesday evenings at the Club.  Traditionally this has taken place from 7pm to 8pm .  We would like to start training at 6.30pm and finish at 7.30pm.  We’d like feedback as to whether the earlier starting time  is feasible and manageable for parents.

Please let Andy or myself know if you have any comments, queries or suggestions.

Best wishes,

Cath

Kit Exchange

Andy & I are taking charge of the Club Junior section kit exchange.  If you have any old kit / boots which your offspring have outgrown lying in a cupboard then please bring them to either Andy or myself and we will add them to the ‘Kit Exchange Box’.  Feel free to swap your outgrown kit for anything suitable that you find in the box or there will be an ‘honest box’ for those that do not have anything to swap.  The box will be at the Club during each home game.

·      Don’t forget that Dads can help in the kitchens too!

·      The club is run by volunteers and we do not feel that asking you to help out once a year is unfair.

·      It’s a great way to meet people!

·      It’s a great way to get out of the rain in winter.

·      Parents have been nominated as slots weren’t filled. Please swap if necessary.

·      Thanks a lot!!!
