Colwyn Bay
Rugby Club Switch on there new lights.
After getting
support from CVSC, Conwy Borough Council and The Bay of Colwyn.
Colwyn Bay RFC have finally erected new training lights. 300+
junior members will benefit from these lights as well as 3
senior sides and the Youth XV as well as North Wales teams, who
use the facilities throughout the year. Volunteers from the club
known as 'The Saturday Working Party' have completed most of the
hard work in cabling and erecting the lights and The Club would
like to thank all of the supporters of the project and of course
the Saturday Working Party.
Quote from
Councillor Phillip Edwards:
“I
was delighted to officially switch on the new flood lights on
behalf of the Council who, along with other organisations have
supported the club in this way. The new lighting will allow
youth players and others to play on the fields in the winter
months, which is a far better and healthier way of spending
their evenings instead of hanging round street corners. I pay
tribute to the club and all their officials and supporters for
all the work they do, particularly in support of the youth of
the area and for local charities as well” Cllr Phil Edwards
