Peter Rice - 1st XV Manager

"Being unfortunately born in England, a long time ago, I was late in being introduced to the Welsh National game. I started playing Club rugby at 15 for my local club Dudley-Kingswinford and played for 12 years before deciding to take up the whistle for the North Midlands R U Referees Society. I refereed for many years reaching a very acceptable level at Grade B as it was then, the top level in the RFU being A (International Etc). After I decided to hang up my whistle I was persuaded by my then local club Stourbridge to continue officiating for their 5th and 6th teams as they were always short of a Ref. I did this for 6 seasons gradually becoming involved with other aspects of the senior sides until I was Team Manager for the Stourbridge 2nd XV for 4 seasons when I moved to Colwyn Bay."
