Llangefni 2nds 12 - Colwyn Bay 2nds 34

Colwyn Bay 2nds travelled to high flying Llangefni Club on Saturday. Fortunately for bay, Gefni's Division 3 1st teams success has not cascaded down the club. On a very heavy pitch Bays pack easily overpowered their hosts. Forwards Tony Lumby, Mark Bratt and Bobby Blackwell using their strength to gain good field position. Classy fly half Duncan Auckland controlled the game for Bay, choosing his positional kicks well, even into a very strong wind. And with the likes of Steve Davidson and Sean McDouagh in the back line tries would be a possibility from all areas of the pitch. After early tries by Davidson and J. Beardmore, the dog like play of Sion Thomas and Ritchie Evans kept Bay well motivated even though being well ahead all through the game. Other tries came from Dan Eames-Hughes, Duncan Auckland, Tony Lumby and Quincy Pale.
With 50 years playing experience between them Tony Lumby and Bobby Blackwell showed great fitness
in today's high paced game.
