U11/12 & U13/14 Tour News U11 - U14 Leeds Tykes Rugby Academy Tour - Sponsored by Paul Jones Memorial Fund 19th - 21st Feb '06 Fifty
rugby playing youngsters from Colwyn Bay RFC enjoyed a rugby tour with a
difference during the half-term holidays. Staying in historical York the
youngsters benefited from a two day coaching camp lead by British Lion, John
‘Bentos’ Bently, now of Premiership outfit Leeds Tykes. The
trip was generously subsidised by The Paul Jones Memorial Fund whose funds have
been ring-fenced to be used solely for the development of young players within
the club. The
trip was a great success. The children experienced some top coaching, were
introduced to some new skills, met young rugby players from another part of the
UK & most importantly enjoyed themselves within the rugby environment. An
added bonus was the benefit the coaches came away with having watched the Leeds
