Under 12's Notice Board

Training this Tuesday will be at Eirias Park (on the pitch surrounded by the running track) starting @ 7pm till 8pm.

See you there.

NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2007

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We thought it would be helpful to set out a number of events that are happening over the next few months which involve the Under 12’s Team.

Tuesday Training; As of Tuesday 4th December we will be training on Tuesday evenings at Eirias Park from 7pm till 8.15pm. This is due to the heavy pitch congestion on a Tuesday night at the club. This move, although somewhat inconvenient, does mean that we will have ½ a pitch to train on rather than just a corner.

Safety; Rugby is a contact sport and as such injuries can occur but added protection can be given by ensuring your child has the appropriate gear. Gum shields are compulsory for both training and matches. Head gear and protective vests are recommended. All these items can be purchased from JJB or Gilbert Emery or the internet. If you need any advice please do not hesitate to contact us.

Change in Weather; As the weather has got colder and will continue to do so please can you ensure that your child has appropriate clothing i.e.; weatherproof/warm training top, tracksuit bottoms.

Fund-Raising; We do need to try and raise funds for the Junior Section to go towards the costs of the Tour next year. Our Coach Andy has bravely put himself forward for the Pier to Pier 10K Race which takes place in January and will be looking for sponsorship. However there is also a 3K Fun Run which the boys may wish to enter along with Mums and Dads. Andy will be more than happy to provide Entry Forms…think of it as the start of “the get fit after Christmas”.

Bowling; Sunday 16th December at 2pm. This has been arranged to take place after the home game that day at Llandudno Bowling Centre. The plan is that we will take the boys to MacDonald’s first before Bowling. The cost will be £10 and we would be grateful if this could be paid in advance together with confirmation of who can attend.

Parents would need to take their child to Llandudno from the club for 1.15pm and then collect them from the Bowling Centre at 3pm. Anyone who may have difficulty with transport please speak to Tracey or Anne.

U 12’s Rugby Tour – Isle of Man; It is hoped that next years Rugby Tour will be in the Isle of Man over the weekend of 4th April – 6th April 2008. More information will be provided in due course but please can you note this date in your diary and inform us if it is unlikely that your child can attend. Parents are also encouraged to come along and join in the fun and have a weekend away so please let us know if you would also like to come.

And Finally…… Can we take this opportunity to give a big thank you for all your support for the team, the club, the Coaches and us, it is very much appreciated.

Many thanks,

Anne and Tracey
